In March 2026, Adventure Zone RV Pty Ltd purchased the Zone RV brand, intellectual property and assets with one goal: to restore Zone RV and keep building the vans so many travellers love.

The company is owned by seven shareholders, including its two directors, and runs from our factory on the Sunshine Coast.

We were fortunate to bring back much of the expertise behind the vans, people who know how a Zone RV should be built. With that team back together, manufacturing is running smoothly and we’ve built and delivered more than 90 vans across Australia.

Since then, we’ve built a growing network of dealers alongside our Sunshine Coast factory showroom, and launched our 2027 line-up, including the return of the Base range.

A note on Essential Caravans

Essential Caravans Pty Ltd has recently entered external administration. We know this is a hard time for Essential’s customers, staff and suppliers.

Jamie Johnson, who led the purchase of Zone RV, also owns Essential, so we understand there may be concern. Zone RV is owned and run by Adventure Zone RV Pty Ltd, a separate company with its own shareholders. Neither of our directors holds any role at Essential. Essential’s administration doesn’t change our plans, and we’re building, delivering and taking orders as normal.

What this means for you

If you’ve ordered a Zone RV, your build continues as planned. If you’re thinking about buying, a new Zone RV needs a 10% deposit with no progress payments, and the balance isn’t due until just before handover. When you order directly from our factory, you can pay your deposit by credit card with no fees, giving you the added protection most card providers offer.
